Occupy Kindergarten

I just stumbled across this video and felt compelled to share it with you. In this video Kurt Schwengel talks about his movement "Occupy Kindergarten." The goal of this movement is to take Kindergarten back and put the fun back in Kindergarten. It's inspiring, entertaining, and informative. I hope you enjoy it as well.

I am a teacher and advocator of children, wielding hand sanitizer and dry erase markers and I can’t imagine doing anything else. I graduated from Wilmington College with a degree in Early Childhood Education in May of 2002 and in 2009 added a Reading Endorsement from Otterbein College. I’ve had the opportunity to teach in a variety of places and environments. They range from being a teacher at public and private schools, subbing, tutoring, teaching reading intervention, teaching summer classes, being an after-school care giver, and even site director of a summer camp. Out of all of these experiences I’ve learned that if you show a kid you care, they will give you their heart and when you teach a kid something new, they steal yours. <3 <3
